Rolf Stuber

Rolf Stuber founded smartflyer AG together with 10 aviation enthusiasts in 2016. He is CEO and Head of Design of the unique electric aircraft smartflyer SF1. Until summer 2022, Rolf Stuber was captain on Airbus A330 and A340 at Swiss International Airlines. He started his professional flying career at Swiss Air Force in 1986, where he flew helicopters (Alouette 3 and Super Puma). During his 32 years as an airline pilot with Swiss, Rolf Stuber worked as a flight instructor and flew as a freelance pilot on business jets. He acquired his pilot's license at the age of 17 and has been flying various small aircraft ever since. As a result, he has accumulated around 23,000 flying hours in everything from gliders and helicopters to Airbus long-haul aircraft.
